INGREDIENTS:
1 medium sized yuca
3 cups water for boiling
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp sea salt
WORKING THE MAGIC:
Peel and cut the yuca into even size sticks (1 inch thick & 3 inch long), then place the sticks in the bowl of water. Set aside.
Bring 3 cups of water to boil and cook the yuca sticks for 6-7 minutes.
Drain & transfer the cooked yuca sticks into a dry bowl and let it cool.
When cooled, add paprika, salt, pepper, onion powder and oil. Toss to coat properly.
Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes and fry the yuca for 15-17 minutes on 390°. Spread the yuca in a single layer and do not overcrowd the fryer.
If using oven, preheat the oven at 350F and bake the fries for 15 minutes.
Check them as necessary for desired crispiness. Serve with ketchup or aioli. Enjoy.
